Recallivo ("we", "our", or "us") is a product of Treesera, registered in India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our website at recallivo.com and related services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your display name.
Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service — pages visited, quiz sessions started, questions answered, streak data, and feature usage — in order to personalise your learning experience and improve the product.
Uploaded content: When you upload a PDF or textbook, the file is stored securely using Supabase Storage (hosted on AWS). File contents are sent to Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate quiz questions. We do not use your uploaded content to train AI models.
Payment data: Payments are processed by Razorpay (for India) and Paddle (for international customers). We do not store your card number or UPI credentials. We receive a confirmation token and your subscription status.
Device and log data: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and error logs to diagnose issues and maintain security.

- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Personalise your spaced repetition schedule and quiz recommendations
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send you transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, receipts) via Brevo
- Send optional product updates and study tips — you can opt out at any time
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations
3. Third-party service providers
We share data with the following sub-processors to operate the Service:

4. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g., payment records for tax purposes, retained for 7 years under Indian law).
Uploaded PDF files are stored until you delete the associated book from your library.
5. Data security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest (via Supabase), row-level security policies, and periodic security reviews. Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (right to erasure)
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time

7. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session (set by Supabase Auth) and, optionally, analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings without affecting core functionality.
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice in the Service at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
